Collection: Cobia Jigs

The All-Feather (Feathered Jigs) Saltwater Jigs for Cobia (Rachycentron Canadum), otherwise known as Black Kingfish, Lemonfish, Limonfish, Ling, Crabeater, Sergeantfish, Cabo, and Prodigal Son - (depending where you are in the world).

Our custom hand-tied Cobia jigs are made with real feathers (unless otherwise noted) and flash, designed to provide the most realistic and lifelike action possible. The jigging action of a feather jig surpasses any other jig, much better than bucktail or synthetic materials.

  • Tail Section: Each jig is made up of a tail section that adds to the overall length of the pattern using long subtle webby feathers and flash to add extra movent and catch the attention of those aggressive fish. Tail feathers may have a mix of solid colors and grizzly-colored feathers to add a fishy look.
  • Body Section: The body section is composed of medium length feathers to add bulk to the head and is slightly shorter than the overall length of the jig.
  • Jig-head: The Octopus Head is standard unless otherwise noted on the product page. We also use Squid Heads on some designs.
  • Hooks: All jigs come with the well-known Mustad 8/0 2X strong hook. We can also provide the 9/0 version for special orders.
  • Durability: Every jig is finished off with a full coat of superglue and then coated with UV resin for outstanding durability.
  • Length: Standard length averages around 7-9" inches overall, partially dictated by the feathers.
*Jig appearance may vary slightly based on material availability at time of order, we are a custom shop not a mass producer. Every jig is artistically made and not a "cookie cutter" product. Standard overall length is 7-9" and mainly dictated by the feathers available at time of hand-tying your jig.
